Why what you Put On Your Body is very Unhealthy and how you can Change that
What you put on your skin is as important as what you but into your body. Your skin absorbs anything you put on it from water to chemicals we use every single day several time a day.
All those chemicals go past the skin, into your blood stream and then all over your body and organs.
Think about: toothpaste, mouthwash, soap, shower gel, shampoo, deodorant, hand cream, face cream, body lotions and these are only the basics which most of us use.
Plus make up, powders, gels, sprays and so on.
We look after what we eat but not about what goes into our body through our skin..
Here is a basic idea of what you put onto your skin and thus into your body.
1. Lead
Lead can be found in sunscreens, foundation, nail colors, lipsticks and whitening toothpaste. Lead is a neurotoxin, linked to learning and behavioral problems. It is also linked to miscarriag and reduced fertility (men and women).
2. Parabens
Parabens are used as preservative and antimicrobial agent in creams, lotions, ointments and other cosmetics, including deodorants. As all chemicals we put on our skin, they are absorbed through the skin and have been identified in biopsy samples from breast tumors.
3. Triclosan
Triclosan classified as a pesticide yet we use it as antibacterial in toothpastes, cleansers and antiperspirants. Triclosan can disrupt the endocrine system and contribute to antibiotic resistance in bacteria.
4. Placental Extract
Placental Extract comes from animal of human placenta and is used in hair conditioners, shampoos and other hair products especially for women with colored hair.
Just think how many times a day we put these things into our bodies?
At Urban Women Fitness we want to create an all natural environment, from fitness to organic food and cosmetics which come from all natural sources.
Thus one of our preferred sellers is Arbonne line of cosmetics and toiletries.
Some of the reasons we teamed up with Arbonne are:
1. Its products were developed in Switzerland in 1975.
These are Swiss certified products and we all know Swiss products are of high quality.
2. Botanical principles
Arbonne’s skin care products are based on botanical principles using vegetable oil and fruit as ingredients
3. Encourages green innovations, leaving a green legacy for generations to come.
Also their product shipments are certified carbon neutral.
4. It is not commercial.
I always like and trust brands which although global they are not everywhere around the world. This tells me they are investing money in developing their products rather than expanding uncontrollably.
5. Arbonne is present in Switzerland, USA, UK, Australia.
I picked a few random examples of what ingredients you can find in Arbonne Products.
